Movie Review for Twilight

Ahh, Twilight.

Awful. I do have to say they ruined the image that I had from the books. It was pretty close to the book which was great but was killed by the cheesy acting skills by the actors themselves. There CGI was just as bas as the new Indiana Jones movie. Now here is my bad list of things that happened in Twilight.
  • Edward started with a British accent that turned into a new york accent and then turned into an Australian accent.
  • The climbing the tree that was ridiculous, as well as the running.
  • The caked on make up that made them horribly white and completely not natural
  • The sparkle of the gems when Edward showed his body to Bella.
  • The cheesy guitar music when Bella and Edward look at each other.
  • Jasper. That's all I need to say.
  • The baseball scene. Gross. The running and pretending that they knew how to play.
  • The dialogue wasn't great but it was in the book. Now hearing it in your head and then actually hearing out loud was a drastic difference. Awful hearing the words come out of someone elses mouth.

Now I do think that I casted Bella really well for the part she was exactly what I would have expected from the book.

The City Girl review is...Horrible, not to my standards. I didn't like it at all. To cheesy for my tastes when I thought that it was going to be a good movie. If you want a cheesy, good movie Aquamarine is so much better watch.

New Years Eve

New Years Eve...

Happy New Years! I love that today is the last day of the year! So for the two people who read this blog I will see you next year. Hehehe.

I am hoping that next year will better then this last year. Lots of stress, Washer break right after we got back from camp, trying to pay our property taxes and insurances, and now just in my insurance denied payment for my ultrasound that I had last month and early this month. So now I am dealing with that which of course will continue into this next year. But I think that this next year is going to an interesting start but I think that it will be great later on in the year. VACATIONS!!! I love vacations.

This last day at work the last day of the year of work was suprisingly not as busy as I thought it would be. Crazy that the only busyness of work I wasn't there for. However we were busy with many needy customers. Sitting down and talking that kind of needy things.

New Years Eve has all kind of fun memories. Staying up till the wee hours of the night or all night long, drinking a ton of sparkling apple cider, one time even babysitting which was a lot of fun, and playing endless amounts of games (basketball, solitaire, poker, speed, etc.) This year I'm up at a friends house going to watch movies and play rockband. Thrilling isn't it!! See you next year.

Vacations

You know a savings account money supposed to go in but not out. That's the ideal way you use your savings account. Yeah I don't I'm awful. I tell my husband yeah we have enough money for that knowing full well that I will have to transfer money over to cover part of what we just bought. Thinking about vacations and all the things that we need to do to the house it's almost mind boggling of how we are going to do it. Yikes.

However, Bill and I have to start really start saving all of our pennies so that we are able to pay our bills , ie. taxes and home owners insurance, and be able to go on our 2 year planned vacation that we have been talking about for so long. It's really bad I keep thinking of bad things that are going to happen so that we won't be able to go on the vacation, awful isn't it.

Anyway, all the things are coming down to this. 9 months to go and we will be in Utah bathing in the sun. Yipee. I'm so excited that I can't handle it. I haven't gone on a trip, a slight road trip that is in about 3 years now. The last one that we went on was to Louisiana to see his sister get married. We've gone on so many short trips to friends houses that live in Washington or in the Valley but those really don't count as vacations and I mean true vacations. Packing bags going out on the open road. True vacations going through towns that you can't believe there are people living there and wondering what they do for a living.

In "Yes Man" there's a part where the two actors go to an airport, go up to the counter and ask for the first flight out of the airport. That sound like so much fun that I think that Bill and I will have to do it sometime in the near future. In the movie they go to Lincoln, Nebraska so you know that when Bill and I do it, it will probably be to Bismarck, South Dakota or something like that but it will be so much fun.

Anyway, 9 months can't wait!!!!

Movie Review For Anaconda's 3

Here Kitty, kitty, kitty!

Anaconda's 3 was interestingly enough pretty decent if you like cheesy, blood gore action that is so fake you laugh out loud after you see something on screen. The graphics are sometimes worse then a film from the 80's but mostly only when it shows the snakes. David Hasselhoff of course was the knight in white button up shirt or so you think.

The 100 plus foot female anaconda was set free by the 100 plus male genetically enhanced anaconda that almost only eats the heads off humans instead of the whole body. Of course the anaconda only senses body heat so when the girl falls into a mud puddle it instantly can't see her. Ha, ha.

So the first film was just an anaconda, the second was mating season, third one PREGNANCY! Dun dun da. Thrilling isn't it.

There are some twists and turns and of course you guessed it predictable things that happen but it's still pretty decent.

So the city girl review for Anaconda's 3 is....a must see film. Go into it knowing that you will laugh. Cheesy but great. You never know there might even be an Anaconda's 4 pretty soon.

Christmas

Alright, alright. I know it has been awhile since I have blogged. So Christmas is over now and it just was blah. I really enjoyed being with Bills family on Christmas Eve but I got sick and started to not feel very well and then on top of that we couldn't go to my parents house or grandparents house so I just wasn't the same. However we are going to go out this next weekend so that will be nice.

So I got a three barrel curling iron, so excited about by the way, some movies, some stationary, and a picture to hang up on the wall, oh and of course some jelly beans (way to go Julie). I love jelly beans.

It was a nice Christmas Eve full of fun and excitement and a lot of laughs. Christmas day was the weirdest one I have ever had. I have never been without family to hang out with. Bill and I just sat around and watched movies all day long. Which don't get me wrong I love doing it but it was weird on Christmas when I'm usually surrounded with family. But you know it just makes Christmas last longer then usual. Christmas will come again at the beginning of the new year.

I just can't believe that next week will start the new year 2009. Insane this year has gone by so fast. I hope that this next year will be even better then 2008. I'm sure it will though. I get to see 3 of my friends have new babies, 2 of which are the first baby to the families so I'm ultra excited to see them and hold them. Then after talking about a trip that Bill and I are going to take with a couple of friends for 2 years it is finally going to happen. I'm so beyond excitement for that trip that I'm not sure I can handle it. So I better stop thinking and talking about it. Anyway, I'm excited for the new year to start can you tell.

Snow!!!!!!!

It's snowing!!!!!!

It has been snowing since 8 this morning it's so cool. I'm up further on the coast in Washington now and it's great today and it just hasn't stopped snowing I love it. Unfortunately my husband had to go back to work today so I'm just hanging out with some friends and their kids which is great even if he couldn't be here.

I think that the perfect day when it snows or even rains is having a cup of hot chocolate or tea or coffee for the coffee and tea lovers, personally I like hot chocolate on these days. Then curling up on the couch and either reading or watching a movie with the fire going. Now unfortunately our fireplace is propane and but onto a thermometer so it only comes on when our house is cold but you know the vision is there. I LOVE the SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow

I love the snow so much that I'm almost willing to move to Alaska right now. Obviously I know that it is double the amount of cold it is here but I love being cold and I figure I could acclimate to the weather. I have almost gotten my husband to again with it to. Although he says that I will be to sad to live there so far away from all my friends but I say screw it lets go that's why I have the internet. Hehe. Just kidding I would be sad but I would love the opportunity to live in Alaska for awhile though.

It's been so much fun, all of the snow and ice that have been on the ground for about 4 days now. I am sad to say that it has almost all melted away now. We still have patches though in our yard of all that snowy goodness. I am excited that we might get more and I am looking forward to it with a passion. You have got to understand that we never really get snow ever or a lot of it so when it does or if there is even a chance for snow then I am as giddy as a school girl again. Although I have to say I am one of those crazy, annoy drivers that goes so slow there's a line of people behind me wanting me to go faster. Snow and ice scare me when I drive. I'm never in it so I can't ever learn how to drive. I think that I'll go up to Mt. Hood and learn how to drive on the snow and the ice up there and have my husband teach me. Who knows when that will happen though most likely not this year.

Everyone pray as hard as you can for SNOW!!!! Maybe it will come. Have snowy dreams.

Under the Bridge Part 2

...All the girls were a little stunned by the turn of events, all secretly wanting to know about the key on the table in front of Lily. Lily, of course was the most intrigued about the key but she noticed that her family tended to have a lot of secrets about her grandmother. She knew enough that she needed to ask her parents in private after everyone left. Turning her attention to the party that was surrounding her trying stubbornly not to think about the key she left back on the table she turned her mind to the cake. It was beautiful pink and white flower petals all around splattering all the sides. 16 wonderful candles alight on top of the tiered cake. As they sang her happy birthday she was wishing that something exciting was going to come from the key. No sooner did everyone leave from the party did she take her parents back into the room where she left the key. Pointing down at the key she asked, "What's with the key? Why would Grandma want to leave me a key?"
"Well, on your 16th birthday. No, no let me start this again. On anyone of this families 16 birthday we are told this story and given the key to the door under the bridge. Back in the early 1800's your great, great, great grandfather found this bridge and the door that was hidden underneath it. Intrigued by the door he went to investigate, noting that it was locked he searched high and low for a key. As he was looking he came across an elderly woman. He asked if he could help her find her way. She inquired after his name and where he came from he answered of course I live in the house on top of the hill. 'Oh goodness' she replied 'that is well for I have been waiting for someone to inhabit this house. This is for you.' She reached out her worn and aging hand disclosing the key for him. 'What's this for.' he asked 'The key that you have been searching for.' He gently reached out and took it from her. 'Might I inquire where you are from?' he asked. 'From the world under the bridge if you don't mind please help me back there.' He thought that he was hearing things and inquired again 'what did you say.' 'Please help me to the door I will show you' Upon reaching the door she told him put the key in and kick the door twice, always twice never any more then that or less then that.' He again did as he was told putting the key in and kicking the door twice. 'Okay it will open now.' He tried the door knob and sure enough it swung open letting him see what was beyond the door. His mouth dropped open as his eyes were taking in the sight. The old woman stepped over the door frame and turned into a beautiful woman her wrinkles going away, her clothes into a flowing gown, her hair turning to a wondrous, long, shining, brown hair going from the top of her head to her waist. 'Thank you kind sir for your help. Would you like to come and look around?' Your grandfather just stood in silence taking in the sight finally stirring enough to make a grunt of sound signifying a yes. The lady took his hand and guided him into the new world. Now that is enough for today and right now. Let's go down and have a look for ourselves because I can tell that you don't believe me as it is."
"Sure." Lily said thinking that her family was beginning to show signs of a loony. Following her parents she went down the hill banking to the right towards the bridge and the stream. "Now this is your turn Lily it's your birthday stick the key in and kick twice." Her mother said as the reached the bridge and going underneath to the door. "Sure thing mom." Sticking the key in the door she haphazardly kicked at the door twice as soon as her foot came back to the ground beside her the door flew open and there she was looking out at the world that was completely against the grain of her being of what she was seeing.

Hypothyroidism

So I have hypothyroidism it isn't fun but you know I have to deal with it all, the weight gain, hair loss, fatigue pretty much everything else that can go along with it. I was reading up on it finally again after they had to do a biopsy on a couple cysts. I got the call on the phone tonight saying that I have an infection. Come to find out that I have had the infection for a year and a half or two years because that is what hypothyroidism is. What I was reading about it was that it is characterized by inflammation and damage to the thyroid tissue. Damage occurs because immune cells which usually fight off infection and colds attack the body's own thyroid tissue instead. The medication that I am on right know fights back. It is my white blood cells that are doing the damage.

I have to say that I am one of those people that doesn't ask questions because I don't want to know that and I don't want to look stupid. Obviously I'm not going to look stupid because I'm not a doctor but you know thats me. Now the reason that I don't want to ask the questions is because then I will read the worst of everything, the c word and all the diseases that it might end up being and I can't fill my head up with that because then I would have a breakdown which I'm having now. I don't ask questions because I can't. I don't want to know all the details of everything if I don't have to. Which you know doctors can be wrong and if I think that they are missing something or not helping me by giving my a drug to correct an issue then I would rather do the research on everything myself then to have to ask a question. Sick and backwards I know but thats me.

Ideas

So ideas are interesting things. Ideas are the glue that hold people together or the thorn in someones side. Ideas pose questions that most people think about but never make the effort to answer. Ideas are sometimes answers that answer the most important questions to people. I have many ideas but never really come to the point that I actually do it and fulfill the idea. Ideas are what some people live for coming up with and seeing them be fulfilled and succeeded. Creating a house, the architecture of one, creating a quilt, creating a business from scratch can be difficult but it all starts with one single idea. Now I have some ideas that do and have succeeded mainly crocheting things, of course the easy things, scarfs, hats, and of course you guessed it the pot holder. That's about the most of my ideas that come to life. Now my husband and I have toyed with the idea of opening a shop where we live with a friend and sometime maybe in the future it will become a reality. But again it is just an idea maybe one day it will be a reality.

Reality is also a strange and fantastic word. As little kids go, they live mostly beyond reality and go completely into a world of their own now if I tried to do that now which I would love to I would probably be ostracized and avoided at all costs. Kids have the fantastic ability to go beyond all human instincts and knowledge and create things have ideas that no one of an adult age would think of because they aren't scarred by the reality of life. I think that we as a society should think and use our imaginations as a child would.

Under the Bridge

This is for you mama griffith...

There's a world that no one can see that no one really knows about except a young girls family. This is the story of a young girl finding her way and stumbling into that new world.
Lily Crewe was just about to turn 16. She had been waiting for the day to come to get her drivers license and her freedom. Little did she know she was about to stumble into a world that was in the midst of peril, needing a deliverer.
The day she turned 16 she had a blow out sweet sixteen birthday party. She lived in the small town of Smokentonville, a city high up in the mountains full of houses and great architecture. Everyone knew everyone else. Her parents owned a market so everyone knew Lily and came to her party. Her house was decorated in blue and silver balloons, streamers, bowls, plates, everything imaginable. Her house was a beautiful Victorian. The downstairs opened up to the great room on one side and the stairs were right out in front of you to give you the option of going up. The front looked out on the mountains in front of the house and the river behind that twisted behind the house. It was a picturesque scene right down to the bridge that went over the river to the forest above.
Lily was surrounded with presents an uproar going around her waiting for her to open her presents. Candles, bath salts, CDs, movies , make up everything a girl would want. With two presents left her world was about to change. Both presents were small boxes. She picked up the first box wrapped in red wrapping paper with a big white bow on it. She unwrapped it as fast as she could thinking that it might be a key but suprised and shocked to see that it was a ring. One and a half carat diamond with two rubies on either side. Everyone surrounded her pushing and shoving in order to see the ring as she slipped it onto her finger. "Who is this from mom?" was all she could stammer out. "Your grandmother. It has been wrapped and waiting for you to turn 16." There was a stunned silence for far to long that her mother nudged her saying theres one more box left. The other girls went back to there seats none of their eyes could stay off the ring. Lily picked up the last present thinking that nothing could top the ring unless of course it was a key to her very own car. She opened the box and sure enough it was a key. Her eyes bulged and became huge. She was awestruck that it could happen everything that she ever wished for she had gotten. "That's not what you think dear." "What it's not for a car." Lily said eyes unglueing from her hand to stare at her mother. "No it's to a door." "What?" "It's to a door that is under the bridge in the backyard." "Huh, that doesn't make sense. Why would you give this to me." "Again your grandmother wanted you to have it." Lily looked back at the key and she didn't know what to say. She set the key on the table and turned to look out at everyone that was there. "Thank you so much for all of your gifts. Lets eat some cake."

Shoes...

I'm just full of postings today!!!!

Shoes, shoes magical shoes
the more you own the more you want
spiked, flat, wedged
shoes, shoes magical shoes

I love shoes with a passion I want to learn how to design and make my own shoes maybe then will me husband stop nagging me when I get a new pair. It would be a dream to design shoes and then actually make them come to life.

I want to get so many more shoes that I am thinking that I need a second job just for a shoe allowance. I have someone that I completely with a passion look up to. She is my inspiration for shoes. One day I will have as many as she does. My two things that I absolutely love are shoes and movies. They go hand in hand with me. When I go shopping I get either a pair of shoes or a new movie. I possessed what can I say.

Bazaaring

Well I went to the Expo Center today to go to the Bazaar that is there. Man there were a lot of people there. It was a ton of fun. I went with a friend and her daughter we walked up and down every aisle thank goodness they were numbered otherwise we probably would have went down the same aisle a few times. They had amazing things there especially the food(well at least the dips and BBQ sauce). Every time I go to one of those things though I keep thinking I could make that at least when it comes to crocheting things. Lots of scarfs and hats. Purses to die for. Jewelry that would never go out of style the only thing missing were the shoes.

Amazing though out of so many people there I saw my best friend there in the midst of the chaos. It was fabulous to see her. She is pregnant which I love the fact and she is showing the littlest tiny bit which is so fun to see. I can't wait till she gets bigger and then eventually when she has the little one. I couldn't be happier for her.

I have so many children around me that it is hard to not buy anything for all of them so I have to limit the presents I buy otherwise I would need a second or third job to support all of the spending. Therefore when I can I tend to make my presents. I just need to learn how to make stuffed animals for them all and I would be golden.

Anyway, enough on the tangent. I bought a few things I would have bought more if I could have but I'm sure my husband would have killed me for doing it. After the bazaar we went to Red Robin! *smiles and sighs* I love Red Robin. It is amazing. After that we came home along the winding roads of the coast it was a relaxing day and it was a lot of fun

One day

So I have a computer but it is extrutiatly slow that I don't ever try to get on but I decided that I must get up with the times with a blog that I can talk about my almost to a pain boring life.

You know I watch so many movies that almost every movie I wish that I had the courage, the strength, the tenacity to go out and experience life to the fullest however the way that I am right now I think so much on the fact of what people will think of me or say about me that I am scared to try all those new things that might come my way. I keep saying to myself I'm going to change I'll do it the next time it comes around and hope by the time it comes back my way I'll have the courage to do it. Don't take me wrong though I have some experiences that I've said yes to like when I was around 14 or 15 I flew a two seater plane or the fact that I have been to 25 states already in my 23 years of life. I have done a high altitude(really on 50 feet off the ground) course climbing, tight rope walking, and the zip line. Its the in front of a big group that I don't know really well when I tend to freeze up and say no thanks next time. Although I am trying my hardest to say yes when things come my way but it is going to be a work in progress.

One day I'm going to go skydiving, scuba diving, go to Europe and experience there food and culture. One day is here and forever to think about. One day I will do everything that I want to do.
