Sunday Column and Dogs

I wasn't able to get this one in on the other post but it's one of my favorites. Allie is the one up there with her arms out. She went up the 2 time.
Lucky was so excited to be at the Warrenton Dog Park and also the fact that I was holding a chuck it with ball.

Pretty Girl and Stormy.
They actually played together.
I was so proud of Pretty Girl.
Lucky however didn't.
I don't think she wanted to be bothered.
She just wanted the ball.

Sunday

Matthew, Allie, Bill and I all went to the Astoria Column today. Man my legs hurt afterwards but the pictures are completely worth it. We had a lot of fun!!

Bill

I love this man!!

Saturday!!!

Wasn't it a beautiful day!! We have had the whole array of weather this week. Snow, hail, rain, and now today sunshine. It is so nice to have a day of sunshine. We took the dogs to the beach this morning which was a good idea at the time but when we got down to the beach there were so many dogs and the wind was so bone chilling cold. So we came back home and just let the dogs run for a little while.

Isn't this picture funny. It looks like his head is so much smaller then his hat. But in the picture you can really read the underside of the bill really well.

I hope that your Saturday was nice and you had fun in the sunshine.

Fence

We got the wood to part of our fence yesterday!!! It is for the back part lining the slough. So sometime this summer it will be put up or maybe we will put it on a really nice weekend. But I had to share anyway.

Things I Need To Do

So in my e-mail this list comes to me. A list of things that you have to mark if you have done something or if you haven't. I have actually done quite a bit of things. To be exact I have done 36 out of 57 things. Here are the things that I need to do -

Make a Souffle, Go to Hawaii, Africa, Australia, Europe, South America, Washington D.C.,
Pay for a meal with only Coins, Be kissed under the mistletoe, Go Cross Country Skiing,
Go on a Vacation Alone, Go water skiing, Walk alone in the Redwoods, Sit in a military fighter jet, Fly in a glider, Fly in a hot air balloon, Learn another language, Go to a drive in movie theater,
Be on TV, steal a traffic sign and steal a candidate sign during an election.

That is what I haven't done that's on the list. I have my own list of things to do with my life or go. Mostly it's of going to certain places. There are a few things though on my list that I'm going to try to get done this summer and some that I'm going to do this weekend. All in all I'm going to start whittling down my list. I think that it will be fun and then I'm going to be able to say that I was able to do so much in my lifetime and it was a fun time. I will keep you updated on the things that I do. To give you a hint Saturday I'm going to try to tackle the souffle.

Longview

Today I had to go to Longview for a Sales and Service Meeting now called SOS. It was actually a good meeting very long but good. They made the meeting start at 10 this morning which is a nice change from 9am. I was able to get up at my regular time of 6:30 and then just leave the house at 7:30 to be up to Longview in time. I know that this isn't really exciting news and probably not blog worthy by any means but it's all I can think about right now. Don't worry I will try to come up with something more blog worthy.

INDESCRIBABLE

Indescribable is a fantastic word. There isn't a ton of things that you can call indescribable. God however is just that. He is indescribable. There is nothing that we can say that gives him justice, gives him glory, gives him that respect that he deserves. Bill and I are watching the movies by Louis Gigilo. They are amazing it makes you feel small. Which we are small compared to the universe, compared to God. However the cool thing about the movie is also realizing that God picked us. He sent Jesus down to earth to be one of us, humans. To save us. It is amazing and mind boggling to think that God made everything in the universe and he takes the time to be with us, each and everyone of us through everything we are going through. I always tend to forget that statement. God knows me by name, he knows everything about me, he knows all of my faults, all of my problems and yet he still loves me and still sticks it out with me just waiting to lay out everything to him. Put everything onto to him again and again. He will take all of my hurt and pain onto himself so that I can be with God for all of eternity. The movie is crazy and puts a lot into perspective. I'm insignificant compared to creation but God knows me and makes me significant and everything that happens to me is all for a reason and something great is going to come from my life. God is going to do something great in my life I just have to wait and be patient and lean on him through all the days of my life. I just have to always remember that fact and try not to do anything on my own anymore as hard as it is and going to be it will always be better with God. He is INDESCRIBABLE.

Valentines Day

Well for the last 6 years Bill and I have been celebrating Valentines Day the same way every year. Bill gets a Papa Murphys Heart Shape Pizza and we celebrate eating the pizza. It's so good. However I think they seem to be getting smaller however they only come around once a year so I could be forgetting what they looked like last year. The reason that we have always done the same thing every year is because the first year we were married we were very broke and just got the pizza ever since then it became so good that a tradition was born. It's a great tradition and I look forward to it every year.

Time

Do you think that time sometimes stands still?
I completely agree with that statement. In both of my accidents time slowed down and seemed like it was still.
I love photography because it makes that moment that you capture stand still. The happiest moments in your life, the saddest, the funniest. When you look back at the pictures you feel exactly what you were feeling in that moment. Everything comes back to you maybe not the clearest but you remember the feelings.
It is the same as music. It attaches itself to whatever the moment is. Songs and music always put you into the moment when you first heard it. It brings back the moments that you experienced.
I like movies, music, and pictures. They all do the same things to me. They bring me back to the moment and the moment stands still.
It is the best feeling. I love most things that make time stand still.

Chocolate Mint Cookies

Grasshoppers, Mint Chocolate Cookies, anything that has the words of Mint and Chocolate together they are my favorite cookies however I should know I should never buy them. When I do I tend to eat the whole package in only a day or two. Sad and sickening all at the same time. I recently made a purchase from the girl scouts, usually I don't because I hate being asked but this time it was a local girl from my church so I couldn't turn her down, and I mistakenly bought 2 boxes. I know that I shouldn't have but I couldn't control myself. Unfortunately I have already ate a box (we got them on Tuesday). Sad isn't it. Oh well. I don't buy them often because of this reason so I'm good for the next 6 months. I just need to work out more then ever to work them all off.

House Remodeling

If you have seen our house before our destruction phase then you can remember what it looked like. We had some great panelling on the walls and then their was bricks about half way up the wall tiering down three levels. If that makes sense. I'm hoping that you remember. If you haven't ever seen my house I'm sorry I don't have pictures what it use to look like on this computer. Bill started taking all the bricks down one by one with an air gun. It went very fast the dust was flying everywhere. Apparently when the house was flooding in 1996 no one thought to rip out the bricks or the panelling. It was apparent that no one did it because about 2 feet up from the floor is the line of mold that started back in the 90's. Luckily it looks like it grew a little bit and then died. So that is a plus. I'm glad that it hasn't been growing for the last 15 years. Can you imagine?! Anyway, soon I will have pictures of the new fireplace that we bought and the process that we are going to go through to get into place. Once we are done with that all that's left is the flooring and windows. Once those our done it means that our living room will be completely done.

Below are pictures of the new tile that we bought. It has blue, tan, and gray as the colors. It will match our wall colors so beautifully. We are going to put the tile aound the new firplace. Oh, I should mention that our fireplace is going to be an insert fireplace. So as I was saying it's going to go on the floor and then around the firplace. In front of the front door, in all the closets not including the bedroom closets, and under the washer and dryer. I hope that you can tell the different colors. They are very beautiful. Of course more pictures to come as we actually put it in and we start on the projects.

Isn't it pretty!!!

Our Dishwasher Has Returned and It's Upgraded Itself

Sorry you have to turn your head sideways to see the pictures. The one above is our old dishwasher that has been broken for about a year and a half. I have been hand washing everything since the day it broke. Now don't get me wrong I actually like hand washing my own dishes but sometimes it is just nice to have a dish washer.

Below is our new dishwasher. Isn't it a beauty. All the buttons are on the top of the door. So it is more sleek looking. Bill was great he installed the dishwasher and we went to Fred Meyer and bought our first dishwasher soap in a year and a half. As soon as we got home and I unpacked our food. I instantly started the first load!! It is extremely quiet. So much more then I ever would have realized because our old one was so loud.

New Entertainment Center

We finally bought a new camera so I can show you whats been happening in my life instead of just always writing about everything.

Ever since we got our new TV as our Christmas present we have been saving every month to be able to buy an entertainment center or console if you want to call it that. We have been eyeing entertainment centers since November beginning of December. The best ones that we have found have all been at Costco. We have been crossing our fingers every month that they won't get rid of them and circulate to something else. We also have been looking at Fred Meyers and Walmart for something cheaper or even one that we like. However we decided that we liked the look of the one at Costco for mulitple reasons.

One - It is actually made out of wood instead of partical board.
Two - It is the perfect size to go under our TV.
Three - It is the exact height that I wanted.
Four - It is really upscale looking. It makes our living room feeling nicer then it did before.

For people that didn't know that we got a TV. We got it for our Christmas present to each other. It is a 60 inch Plasma TV that is beautiful. As you can tell from the picture below. We were also able to put a nice shelf in above the TV so I could of course decorate more.
