House Remodeling

If you have seen our house before our destruction phase then you can remember what it looked like. We had some great panelling on the walls and then their was bricks about half way up the wall tiering down three levels. If that makes sense. I'm hoping that you remember. If you haven't ever seen my house I'm sorry I don't have pictures what it use to look like on this computer. Bill started taking all the bricks down one by one with an air gun. It went very fast the dust was flying everywhere. Apparently when the house was flooding in 1996 no one thought to rip out the bricks or the panelling. It was apparent that no one did it because about 2 feet up from the floor is the line of mold that started back in the 90's. Luckily it looks like it grew a little bit and then died. So that is a plus. I'm glad that it hasn't been growing for the last 15 years. Can you imagine?! Anyway, soon I will have pictures of the new fireplace that we bought and the process that we are going to go through to get into place. Once we are done with that all that's left is the flooring and windows. Once those our done it means that our living room will be completely done.

Below are pictures of the new tile that we bought. It has blue, tan, and gray as the colors. It will match our wall colors so beautifully. We are going to put the tile aound the new firplace. Oh, I should mention that our fireplace is going to be an insert fireplace. So as I was saying it's going to go on the floor and then around the firplace. In front of the front door, in all the closets not including the bedroom closets, and under the washer and dryer. I hope that you can tell the different colors. They are very beautiful. Of course more pictures to come as we actually put it in and we start on the projects.

Isn't it pretty!!!
