Who Knows...

The day the earth stood still was the beginning of my life. While every one was freaking out there I was beginning my life a fresh. Wondering down the streets looking and taking everything in like it was slow motion. Walking like I was on top of a mountain. I was wearing leather of course because that's what you where when you are hard core and have something to show off. Guns strapped on my hips, shoulders, and ankles. Waiting for the war that is soon to begin. Just waiting for someone to think that they can take me. Little did I know that no one was even paying attention to me there was a greater evil out there that they were running away from. Raiders. They had formed before the world stood still waiting for the inevitable to happened. Rounding the corner I came face to face with one such person. He grabbed me by the arm threw me against the wall. My hand shot up and sucker punched him in the solar plex making him drop his hold against me and then I head butted him. That wasn't the best idea. My head instantly hurt and I felt like I was oging to pass out. It seemed so much easier in the movies. Apparently either they have the thickest skulls ever or they are just super human. I continued to walk down the streets looking, watching for something else to happen. It was my turn to be bold, to have confidence, to be the best that I could be. Is it going to happen? Who knows. But I continue down the street and look for action that could be.

New Laptop

Bill got me the best gift ever a new laptop. It is the most amazing thing ever. I love the fact that I can read the New York Times every day if I wish to. That I have so many applications for Microsoft, all the templates. I love the fact that I have Mahjong to play whenever I want to. I love that I can now be on the computer while sitting and lounging on the couch being a couch potato. Do you think that I love this computer?

Our 6th Anniversary

Bill and I celebrated our 6th anniversary yesterday on the 15th of January. We were married on the 15th at 2 O'clock in the afternoon after a major ice storm. 6 years ago I woke up and took Lucky out to go to that bathroom that day and noticed that every tree was weighed down dramatically with ice. When I came back in my dad asked me if I was still getting married. I said of course I am are you crazy. So that day we slowly made it to the church and Bill and I got married. Only about 80 people showed up out of around 200 that would have came. We were excited to have that many people on such a crazy day of ice though.

We went down to Newport for the weekend to celebrate by going to the Hallmark Resort and Hotel. We got down there at 9pm, walked into the hotel and said that we had reservations for the weekend. I'm glad that I had my reservation confirmation notice because come to find out that the reservation for some reason was for July 14 instead of January 14. Isn't that hilarious!! Jessie, one of the girls that I work with used to work for Hallmark up in Cannon Beach and made the reservations for us. Neither she nor I realized what had happened. So instead of the room we were supposed to get we got a queen size bed with ocean front room. Everything was the same except we didn't have a spa tub. So we had a queen size bed, fireplace, living room, and balcony. It was wonderful.

We went to the Wax Works, Rippley's Believe It or Not, and the Undersea Gardens. We were going to go to the Aquarium but it was raining so hard that we didn't want to get drenched walking through it. We then walked around downtown Newport on the waterfront. Then we went back to the hotel and took a nap. That was really nice to take a nap in the middle of the day. For dinner we then went to a sports pub. They had great food and drinks. I got a Long Island Iced Tea and it was so strong that I was beginning to feel it after a few sips. Which is insane to me. It was nice, fun and romantic in the pub though. It was nice to go somewhere for the weekend and out to dinner with just Bill and I. We had such a great time!!

Flooring

So I think that I picked out the flooring for our house. I think that we are going to go with a toasted almond color carpet (which is a little bit darker then what's in the house right now). It's going to be in the living room and all the bedrooms. Then we are going to get wood flooring called Jamacian Coconut Shell (actually a darker wood) for the dining room, kitchen, hallway, and entry way. Then we are going to do a slate or tile insert in the entry way as soon as you walk in, in all the closets, and under the washer and dryer. Then the bathroom will be tile that we had bought I'm sure at least a year or two ago. It will be wonderful to have new flooring in the house!!! It will look so upgraded just with that.

6th Anniversary Present

So....I just got my anniversary present today. I know that it's a couple days early. Our anniversary is on the 15th but Bill couldn't wait and thought that I could use it this weekend when we go away. He couldn't wait so bad that he actually brought to me at work along with a birthday check since his birthday is tomorrow. It was fun to open a present at the bank. He walked in with the box under his arm. All it said was Amazon on the box. I opened up the box to find another box. Which I was thinking that it was a computer but I didn't want to jinx myself until I was able to see it. Oh, it was great!!!!!! I love my new laptop. It's red and pretty!! I can't wait to see Bill's face when he opens up his presents. He is going to be so excited to find out what he got!!!

The Bad Morning

So you ever have those days where you just can't find your keys for the life of you. Well, I had that day recently. However it wasn't the keys to my car or to the house of course, it was to my work. Now it wouldn't be that big of a deal but unfortunately that morning it was. Patty was going to come in late and I was supposed to open the branch. That morning was supposed to be great but instead I went into panic mode and I had to call Patty to go to the branch just to open while I continued to search. I searched everywhere. I searched the entire house, my purse, the car, the coat pockets, everywhere. Eventually I went back to the branch at 8:40 and called Bill frantically. He hadn't seen them either. Patty went back home and I continued to search at work in my purse. Well, I got a new purse for Christmas and if the zipper is down where you can't see it then you forget that there is a back pocket. I eventually remembered it while I was staring at the purse and opening up the pocket out they sprang. I was beginning to think that I was never going to find them. Once I found them I felt like a complete idiot. I normally don't put them there and I couldn't believe I forgot about the pocket. Therefore when I went home for lunch I switched purses because I was to upset at the purse I was using. I kept calling a do-over for the morning but it didn't happen. The day just continued. Blah.

Home Improvements

So today was the day!! I got the call!!! We can sign papers for our loan tomorrow!!!!!!! $30,000.00 is coming our way sometime this week. It is so needed that it will be nice to finally be able to do all the things we need to do.

I think that, that is it!! I know it will be like we have a brand new house by the time we are done!! It will be so nice to not come home and see our house falling apart. Our flooring will be amazing compared to what we have now. I will be able to keep it clean because of my very nice vacuum cleaner!! Hopefully I will be able to get a camera sooner because we will be saving money that I will be able to take pictures and share with all of you all the fun and new things that we are doing!!
