Issues with Vegas, maybe but maybe not...

Tomorrow is heading toward Vegas.  I'm so happy that the time has come but I'm even happier that my car is done and actually working.  I think that I should start at the beginning.  Before the trip down to Veags Bill decided that we should have the heads redone and the timing belts changed.  Apparently it was time for everythign to be changed.  I always have reservations about work being done on my car before a trip and this was one time that it was especially bad.  Bill took my car into the shop to schedule everything to be done.  It is a family friend and they refused to do the job.  Not very happy about that.  So because of that Bill had to do the job by himself.  It wouldn't have been to bad but he had to complete the job in only a matter of days.  He started it on Monday and had to have it finished by Wednesday or Thursday.  It probably would have been fine but there were complications the belts weren't wanting to cooperate with him.  I, of course just see looming in front of me Friday having to leave and take off toward Vegas.  Without a car however that wasn't going to happen.  Bills parents thoughtfully offered one of there vehicles which I'm sorry to say but I'm not driving someone elses vehicle all the way down to Nevada and Arizona.  Bill then said we could take the pickup.  Again, I don't think so.  I didn't want to drive that down there either when it drives on propane and it's so hard to find a place to pump propane.  Happy to say that Bill figured out the complications and we get to drive my car down to Vegas.  I'm hoping though that the car will remain intact and work all the way down there and all the way back.

Yeah, we leave today for Whidbey Island and Erik decided this last week to change all the spark plugs in our van. Got it done, thankfully, but I'm never too happy about any car work, especially last minute car work!
